Review on πŸ‘ž Enhanced Comfort and Style: Dansko Jackson Antiqued 13 5 14 Regular for Unmatched Footwear Experience by Jose Ballard

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good quality leather and shoes, very comfortable, very poor slip resistance when wet

Good So first, let me close my tirade and give a few points to my 3rd initial review. 5Quality: 5Durability (projected, atm): 5Finish (IMO): 3Slip Resistance: 2Overall Real-Life Rating: 4If you want to know the reasons for my confused reviews, read on Foreword: I'm a bartender. Feet almost every minute of my 45-50 hour work week. So as I use and abuse my work shoes, shoe quality and everyday comfort in shoes become more and more important to me over time. There have been bad, very bad, comfort and durability issues with almost every pair of shoes or insoles I've worn in the last 5 years. I've carried many brands of non-slip shoes and insoles to try and make them more comfortable, including brands like Happy Foot, Dr of non-slip shoes I bought from Amazon that I can't remember the name of now, and others . After 3 weeks of ownership/wearing this is the most comfortable shoe. At least not for that long. Phantasm: This brand is mentioned all the time in both conversations and online research for comfy/non-slip work shoes. A pair of shoes turned out to be the most expensive piece of clothing I have ever bought for myself or anyone else. My whole life. So my expectations for my dollars are very high. These shoes are very high quality and comfortable. From what I can tell after a month they are made from very high quality leather that has been very well tanned and finished. At the moment there is only 1 rating below 5 stars. Otherwise I would have given 4 stars and I plan to come back to this review in 6 months, 1 year, 2 years and hopefully once a year after that and adjust my review accordingly. But (yes, I know there are always buts), here are my personal complaints: The finish was lighter than I thought it would be from the photos. So for me or if you need to wear "black shoes" but want to add some style, they are not dark enough to fill the gap. I had to strip the fairing off of them and apply mine with cleaners, oils, polish and leather protector. Which is normal for me, and it gave the shoe a much more personal touch that (at least for me) bridged the gap, but it also made their finish more demanding to care for than I would want for a work shoe. That being said, I really can't fault the shoes themselves, especially since I bought them online without seeing my eyes. My personal biggest criticism has to do with the slip resistance. - a stable rubber outsole that is suitable for dry, wet and oily surfaces "I face all these types of surfaces every day and this shoe copes: very well on dry surfaces, to the point where your feet can hardly can rotate. Good on slightly oily soils. Not good at all on the occasional oily spot. Downright dangerous on the occasional wet spot you're unfamiliar with and anticipating traction. Which unfortunately (wet floors) happens almost everywhere, all the time behind the bar.
