It definitely doesn't mislead the impression that it's leather, although photographed very well. Some faux leather products look good and almost real, but aren't. It's ugly brown stuff and it's coming from someone who loves brown. I deduct one star for the cheap material and 2 other minor complaints (see end of review). That cosmetic detail aside, the bag is nice and well-suited for those who don't like to carry a bag around but always end up dropping it. Little things, because their hands are busy! The material, while cheap looking, is soft and very foldable/floppy, not hard. (2) The small metal clasp does not fit the receiving magnet directly because it is too weak, and the father-to-mother metal button is too small.
