I wasn't concerned about this particular purchase as it was made with several other packs of collars which I used first as they had cute patterns but at best worn out in a few months. I assumed it was just the nature of collars today, so I kept going through collars until I finally tried this one. She has been wearing this collar for more than six months. Not a single thread has slipped yet and it is just beginning to wear out. And I still have collars! If they keep it up I may never need to buy collars again but if I do, it will be this brand. Small moons reflect light slightly, I don't know if that's enough to help in the dark car, but if you're looking for a cat on foot, this will probably help. My Favorite Stars I have a perch for my cat by the window, but she can climb through the thick curtains. During the day she sometimes comes out of the window with brightly shining stars and looks very beautiful. It was easy to put on and very easy to put on and take off, although your cat doesn't like it when you wrap your hands around her neck like that.
