Review on Partsam 12 LED Smoke Lens Chrome Tail High Mount 3rd Brake Light for Ford Super Duty 1999-2016 & Ranger 1993-2011: Waterproof Replacement by Donald Larson

It should be an easy installation with two screws and a plug, but it isn't. The connector is slightly smaller than the original, which causes the light to flicker when you move the connector. I returned the first item thinking it was defective but the replacement had the same fault. Since I like the light and the price is right, I pulled the pins out of the connector (they're solid brass, better than the stock Ford pins) and used a soldering iron to tin the pins so they fit snugly in the socket on my truck and eliminate the flicker. So an overall low rating because it needed some tweaking to work properly, but if it wasn't for the bug it would have been a four or five star rating. (only four stars because the smoky lens really reduces the light brightness)
