Looks good but not very bright

If all you need is a tinted third brake light, you've found it. The white light isn't bright at all. If you're looking for a third brake light to illuminate your bed, this isn't for you. The red is bright enough and serves its purpose. But very easy to install. 2 simple screws and fits into the existing wiring harness (I have a 2011 F250). Don't get me wrong, the light looks really cool.

Pros
  • Sample for a year
Cons
  • Almost never

Ranger owners read my review.

Great product but only buy if your car currently has night lights with your 3rd brake light. center when you brake, but the left and right white lights will never work. I didn't realize it until I bought and installed it. The seller contacted me and offered a full refund. Very nice seller and a pleasure to work with.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Not bright. Good for lighting fixtures and accessories

Shape and size are good. Ease of installation is very good. The harness connector is excellent, as is the double insulation. Only. very weak. Not enough light to illuminate my Superduty 2000 f250's short bed. Better than nothing, but I would suggest you replace the bulbs in your existing package with high lumen LEDs. This housing is disposable as the lamps and housing are one piece and cannot be replaced or serviced. probably worth $20.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Not sure

Stopped working properly after only two months, funny

I bought this two months ago and the brake lights stopped working, the truck lights stopped working two weeks ago so I have my original wiring cleaned it and plugged it back in and the cargo lights work again but the brake light doesn't work. I want someone to come back to me to exchange it as I had this product for 5 stars but no more, stopped working properly after only 2 months weird

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Easily repairable

Very important. Works perfect. Requires mounting clips.

Excellent product. I bought this for my 2004 cab and chassis. It had an existing OEM connector above the taillight. I removed it and found the factory plug. The load compartment lighting switches on together with the roof lighting. The brake light works as it should when you press the brake pedal. The only thing that would make it a little better would be if they added 2 metal mounting screws to hold it in place as my truck didn't have anything to screw in after I removed the connector.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • ---

My 3rd brake light red white cargo light was not working on my 2011 Ford Ranger. The red brake light worked, but the white cargo light didn't work. However, I had to connect the interior light wire to the (white wire) of the third brake light unit. After connecting the courtesy light wire to the white wire of the third brake light assembly, all headlights worked as expected. The white truck headlights came on whenever I opened a door or turned on the dome light with the dash switch. This took…

Cons
  • Exorbitant price

Check connection before reassembly

My Hi-Stop worked fine on my 2003 f250, only LEDs were needed. After cleaning the connector pins on the truck, connect the LED connector and truck connector and the LEDs worked fine until I touched the connector and tried to turn on the light in the truck. The LEDs flickered and blinked and didn't glow. BAD connection points! I disassembled the connector from the side of the truck (separated the pins) and planted individual pins onto the pins of the lights. The pins on the light side are a…

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Faulty

Bad plug but good light.

It should be an easy installation with two screws and a plug, but it isn't. The connector is slightly smaller than the original, which causes the light to flicker when you move the connector. I returned the first item thinking it was defective but the replacement had the same fault. Since I like the light and the price is right, I pulled the pins out of the connector (they're solid brass, better than the stock Ford pins) and used a soldering iron to tin the pins so they fit snugly in the socket

Pros
  • Lighting and lighting accessories
Cons
  • There are disadvantages
