I've had dozens of showerheads in my life. I'm a big fan of the oversized "rain showers" found in places like the Ritz Carlton suites. When I moved into my current home last summer, I was thrilled to see that we have these types of large square "rain" showerheads. It was pretty cool. I didn't like the weak flow in the shower so I removed the "resistance" inside and it's been bubbling ever since. The only thing is that most of the water flow is concentrated in the center and from time to time I have to soak the shower head in white vinegar to get rid of rust/scale. I bought this Grohe shower head to see if it was any better. than my current shower head. In a word: yes! It's VERY heavy, just feels solid, and in every way a lifetime purchase. Water distribution is 100% even between all 100+ wells. Deposits are easy to remove with a fingertip—no vinegar soaking required. Installation is as easy as any overhead shower, you only need a wrench to tighten it. I also removed the resistance from this shower head, although even with the resistance it was outputting a decent 2.5 GPM. A luxury product for the home.
