eMeet AI meeting room camera is great for distance learning

I bought this AI webcam so I can get away from my computer screen and solve problems on the whiteboard behind me in class. I'm not sure what the ideal distance to the subject or people in focus should be, but it's pretty smooth for what it does. Not only does it pick up sound, it zooms in and out as needed, and it also has a degree of rotation, allowing Abe to swing at the whiteboard behind me. However, it's limited and there's a slight lag, but that's to be expected. Actually, there is no software for this camera system. It does a little firmware tweaking, but nothing else is required. I have a school laptop so I was very happy to find out that no admin password is required as there really isn't anything to install. It comes with a cable (USB-C to USB-A) that connects it to the computer and powers the camera when the computer turns it on. I use this camera in Microsoft Teams. The picture is very clear when the person on the other end has a good internet connection. Below is a tripod hole, I have a tripod but I don't use it with this camera. The sleeve that has to hold it on the laptop screen is very comfortable, easy to install and keeps its place once installed. It is very strong and stays in that position. The only thing I couldn't figure out was how to enable/disable the AI skill. It turns on after plugging it in and getting power, but not sure how to disable that feature. It zooms in and out to capture its speakers, and has no reason to follow someone who isn't moving yet is still moving little by little to match the AI's goal. So I need to figure out how to turn off the AI. But I bought it to be able to move with me so I can walk behind me to my board if needed and switch to my laptop otherwise. Built-in camera. So far I like that I can move away from the monitor (I'll be eating students both in person and virtually very soon) and I've already started using this in my learning modules. This AI webcam is still under investigation and as I learn more I will update this review. 👍🏼
