I am new to welding and no matter how many videos I watched on YouTube I was still blown away by the number of variables that exist in welding (wire size, wire speed, wire tension, wire spool, material type, voltage, weld speed and distance) . just to name a few variables). So I bought this welder to have two variables set automatically. After practicing with this I realized that not all welding situations are created equal and I sometimes had to adjust these settings, but welding gives me a good start. However, there are several disadvantages. Firstly, the welder only comes with a MIG wire wheel, but I started with cored wire welding so I had to buy the right wheel. The kit also doesn't include the extra 0.8 contact tips, so I had to look it up online. Also, the guide is useless in terms of the amount of detail and the way it is written. If you're using Flux Core, make sure you swap the + and - (not covered in the manual or on the computer). However, their customer service is outstanding! They will do almost anything to make you happy with your purchase. After getting all the parts needed and figuring out everything that was missing from the manual I was able to weld my welding carriage and it worked out pretty well considering I'm still learning distance and speed. So overall the welder itself works great and I'm very happy with the post-purchase customer service.
