I shave my head and constantly battle with sweat running down my face. I've tried bandanas, skinny hats, and even bonnets, but nothing has worked. In addition, hats and helmet caps made of thicker material make it difficult to put on a bicycle helmet. I happened upon this product at REI and was impressed by the feel of the fabric. Due to Revain's significantly lower price I ordered from them rather than buying same day. I used one of the hats as soon as it arrived, pedaled for miles through hot Florida, and not a drop of sweat broke out on my forehead. The complete headgear also protects against the sun with a helmet. I failed to reapply sunscreen more than once during a long drive, resulting in lamellar burns on my head through holes in my helmet. I can't comment on how comfortable this item is for someone with thick hair, but I would highly recommend it to anyone who is bald.
