Seems to be the cheapest deal I've found. It's probably because it's not 3D printed, but the insides are simply made. Like some others, the USB cable is too short. Inserting to the end and snapping doesn't work. Some care is needed to partially tuck it in and then snap it into place. There are probably some handcrafted differences that are causing the short USB cable issue. Looking at the internals it looks like it's hand soldered and it's just a USB 5V toggle switch for 2x 5V fans in series and back to USB ground. I took advantage of the simplicity and soldered in some resistors to reduce the fan power by 100% to a little less noise. I have sensitive hearing, and even dropping just above the fan failure range sounds about as loud as the Index base stations, which I also hear clearly. There are no problems with Beat Saber, but it is noticeable with other games. (For reference, my comfortable volume for the Valve Index is 10%) Recent Notes. When I bought the Index and heard about this product I tried the plastic behind the bezel and was shocked at how hot it was. In comparison, after installing this product, the headset feels almost cool every time you play.
