Ignore the bad reviews

Bad reviews about this subwoofer (besides a defect) must be due to incorrect amplification or the use of cheap thin cables. I installed behind the back seat. It's great in my F150 super crew. As many have said, if you want to shake people in their living room as you drive by, it won't work. If you're looking for great bass in your car, easy installation that doesn't take up much space, this is it. If you've never installed a subwoofer, look for instructions on how to adjust the gain. Check and adjust the output voltage on the speaker cables. Use pure tones from your handset, not from a radio station or other music. Then optimize over time. This device was impressive on my initial settings. It broke and I kept tweaking it here and there for probably 3 weeks. The starting point in the guide was pretty close. Now it delivers amazing bass with no distortion or clipping. If you haven't planned this, you'll need new door speakers and an amplifier to keep them up to date. It vibrates my mirrors when rotated so hard that they are unusable. Drive carefully!
