Great mat for our needs. Haven't washed it in washing machine yet so can't comment on how easy it is to clean. It's just heavy enough to lay flat (I hope it retails it's full flatness once I wash it). Absorbs well enough for our needs. Durable -- our strong-jawwed dog has tried to "play" with it a few times and hasn't ripped it, which is actually saying a lot. There are very few things he can't rip quickly. The rug doesn't look too terribly utilitarian, which is nice. The brown is nice with wood floors so it doesn't draw attention to itself.
