Review on SensorPEDIC Dual Comfort Supreme Pillow - 1 Count (Pack of 1) - White by Rebecca Bright

Revainrating 2 out of 5

It's fine for a while and then it's over!

I have had two of these pillows for about a year now. I bought these for the dual comfort zones, vented foam (can't stand a hot pillow) and the pleated sides to help me get support under my neck. This pillow doesn't really get hot, but as far as support goes, forget it - the gussets don't do much. After a few nights of use, to get enough support, I have to fold the front of the pillow under my neck, tie it under the headboard, and quickly lower my neck onto the portion of the pillow that I folded. stop. After a few days of not using it, it will actually regain its strength. I alternate between pillows, but in reality I'll probably need about 10 of them so I can rotate them to make sure I have enough support each night. I've tested many other pillows in the time I've had these, but for some reason I keep coming back to these pillows. This is very frustrating. Unfortunately, maybe my answer is to buy 8 more of these. Finding the right pillow can be such a challenge. In an attempt to find a pillow that I can tolerate and give me the right kind of support, I've tried over 30 different foam, latex, polyester, and feather pillows over the months since the last pillow I had bought in different shapes and designs loved for 5 years finally had to go. I hope that one day I can create a website with what I've learned about choosing the right pillow. Just remember that there is no one-size-fits-all pillow, and don't believe anything on the packaging or marketing materials that says it's for side or back sleepers, for people with neck pain, or anything else that depends on your build from, shoulder width. , neck, head etc. and what kind of support you need. I firmly believe that pillow designers must be among the dumbest people on the planet alongside cell phone designers. Why can't they just make pillows with more support under the neck at the edges of the pillow and less in the middle like it should be? There are few pillows like this one, but none of them suit my needs. Just remember these tips: lift your body, lift your head. Finding a pillow that is the ideal height will be difficult. People who sleep on their backs usually need a slightly shorter height, as the height means your head may be supported. If you alternate sleeping on your back and side, it's even harder. Polyester and rigid polyurethane/memory foam are usually much hotter than even feather or down pillows. If you suffer from hot pillows, try gel, feathers (need to be separated and quilted to prevent punctures), or down (small feathers that won't puncture). Whether or not vented foam pads get hot is hit or miss - I've seen many vented foam pads get really hot. Feather and down pillows usually allow you to change shape without resisting like polyester-filled pillows. If you can manage to find one that has enough padding so it doesn't go flat, that might help. Again, everyone has a different shape and weight of head, body, and neck. Everyone also has different preferences in terms of feel and hardness, sink rate and length. There is no pillow for everyone. Don't be afraid to lay down on the floor in the shop to check the pillows if you have to - I do! Unfortunately, you can't do that here at Revain, but you can at least use your experience in the business to make an educated guess.
