Review on Tanchen'S Army Green Canvas Portfolio Bag: The Ideal Solution For Multi-Purpose Drawing, Sketching, And Painting On-The-Go! by Mike Pettigrew

Bad smell + poor workmanship = fix yourself or return upon arrival

First problem: this thing smelled so toxic upon arrival, my son immediately immersed it in a large bucket of water mixed with borax, left it for 24 hours to soak, then let it sit in the sun for another few days, which eventually got the stench out.Second problem: the stitching is so lame, three of the straps had fallen off due to the incredibly cheap and careless stitching done, before even using it.I wanted to return it, but my son said he'd stitch the straps back on and use it since it did fit his art materials he needs to carry to his class.I'm sure more straps will need to be re-sewn on very soon.

I do not recommend this product unless you're willing to deal with the smell and also fix the poor workmanship. (Those poor kids in China are probably sick of making cheap crap for Americans, and it shows on this item!)

Pros
  • I bought it as a gift for my granddaughter. I hope she can use it.
Cons
  • The bag may not be able to hold all necessary supplies for larger projects
