Update// It's almost 2021 and I'm still using this eye tape. good news? My constant use has resulted in my eyelids closing less so I don't have to use the tape as often. Every few months my covered double lids hide so much that I look like I have monolids. Using this tape daily will help my eyelids remember where I want them. and yet so comfortable. Bonus tip: use your pupils as a guide and, of course, look in the mirror at the same angle, i.e. not sideways or up. just try to stay neutral. ----- God, I want to scold myself for not trying this tape before. I use the D-Up brand and although their adhesive seems to be stronger and more durable, it gets SO uncomfortable. Sometimes they fit perfectly, but 9 times out of 10 the pointy ends dig into my inner eyelids and hurt like hell all day. And because the adhesive is so strong, when I have to take off the tape I just applied and use a new one to get better placement, it honestly feels like a few dozen layers of my skin are peeling off . also. BUT! With this eye charm tape, the 10/10 (!) fit is very comfortable - as if the tape wasn't on my eyelid. and don't get me wrong, it lasts all day. And glue just right. I can easily replace a freshly applied eye tape. Haven't read other reviews but a few tips for use throughout the day: (1) Make sure the skin area is free of makeup tape (maybe just a moisturizer but wipe even with my super fine aloe vera moisturizer I do the area of the eyelid before applying the tape, I just don't like anything on my eyelid) (2) as mentioned above, make sure this area is clean! For best results, wipe the area with something that removes the natural oils from our skin (such as blotting paper) or cleanse the skin with a soft, damp cloth, or actually wash your face with your cleanser! (3) again as mentioned. somewhere in my review if you need to change placement don't skimp and just use a new ribbon! Obviously having soaked up some of your skin's oil on the first try and most likely sloughed off some epithelial cells, the glue will obviously not be 100% (4) experimental and perhaps try an Urban Decay Primer for even better results. ? (haven't tried it myself) I hope this review helped. I have double eyelids, but unfortunately they're hooded (à la Blake Lively or Julia Stiles?), so eye tape is a godsend if you're trying to avoid eyelid surgery. I've been using bands for many years, so 2-3 times out of 5 I get the perfect position without a second try. Not sure if that's a good thing or not - just let you know. You can love your body the way it is, but it's also up to you whether you want to change something about it (permanently or not) to gain more self-confidence. or maybe you just want to learn to love yourself for the first time. too much of? haha my mistake still enjoy!
