I like the size of these bases, but Neewer used a very weak base locking system. This probably lowers production costs a bit, but is not entirely reliable. I fear it will crack or break and due to the design there is no reasonable repair solution. However, at this price point, it probably won't bother you - just buy a new set to have on hand. I use them with small LED panels for table and foosball lights and they work well for this purpose. if you either never change settings or only need them occasionally. Once installed, they're fairly stable with small light sources or modifiers, but don't expect them to survive frequent setup and teardown. the kind of gear you add to your kit for last-minute creative solutions and problem-solving.
