They're only for new construction or drop ceilings with field switchable junction boxes

I don't see a way to install them in my situation where I've completely redone the old part of a floor and just finished adding on. You will need switched wiring outlets on the ceiling above where you are installing to install the power supply and BT booster. Then hope that the signal strength is good enough that you don't need a connected device directly underneath, or that another pair is within range if the room is large. Since you have to connect everything up to the ceiling, they may also have a cable connecting 2 amps together. Then when you have a large room you can design it right and after all your hard work don't find that you are a few feet out of reach and end up with a distorted mess. I think I'll be returning my kit as I don't want the amp and power supply hanging from my ceiling. Now they can work if you cut out the top of your cabinets and install them on top. Then you could hide both the power supply and the BT block for Tox out of sight and not worry about heating up when you need to adjust or replace something. It could be an option. So you have to decide if you want that on your ceiling, do you think it won't get too hot, can you install a switchable outlet so they don't run 24/7? They sounded like a good idea while in my hands. The speakers have an odd way of routing the wires to the voice coil, it looks like the problem isn't cemented, it just goes through some sort of metal grommets that are inserted into the polyethylene cone. Usually they come behind the network.
