This replaces another bag/bag I had from another brand/company. The top half looks nice and I like the structure of wood with texture. The description lists this style as "Brown Wood Leather" but I would say it looks more like reclaimed or antique wood, which I really like. I noticed that you have to be careful not to scratch it or snag the texture and it will tear and it looks like there is some yellow underneath. I just stick it on when I have to, but it's very small and not visible to me. The bottom half of this case doesn't seem as thin or brittle as my last one (from another company) so I needed a new one (the tabs broke off, the side panels ripped). The previous one lasted a year and a half, let's see how long this one lasts. The bottom half of it isolates your feet well from the heat of the MacBook Pro. I can use it on my lap for a while if needed, but without the laptop bag, my leg is starting to hurt from the heat. Overall I'm very happy with it so far and I like the look.
