Review on ๐Ÿ“บ VIVO Counterbalance TV Wall Mount for 26-47 inch LCD LED Plasma Screens, Pneumatic Spring Height Adjustable, Fully Articulating Bracket, Silver (MOUNT-VW04G) by Troy Simpson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A flexible mount that works with most modern TVs, but with some limitations.

Overall, this mount does exactly what I wanted - a wall mount for a 43" TV in my home office, used primarily as a computer monitor. It offers approximately 13 inches of vertical adjustment, useful for accommodating different desk/chair/person combinations, as well as the flexibility to install a larger display on the go without having to reposition the wall mount. The adjustable gas spring makes it easy to move the display (TCL's 43-inch TV, which weighs just under 17 pounds, 100 x 100 Vesa) and its tilt angle is maybe 1/4 of the adjustment range. Make sure you read the minimum display weights for the arm models to ensure you get the right one (I had to go for the smaller option.) Otherwise, it's a nicely painted metal, feels sturdy, and is relatively easy to put together Install Those who are curious, the vertical mounting area "centre" is roughly the same as the top mounting hole on the wall plate - I didn't find any diagrams in the instructions on how to calculate this (to place the plate on the wall) and it is a little tricky to measure as the spring holds the lever in the fully raised position with no load. The main reason I knocked the sprocket off is that the mount twists/flexes a bit when the display is on it. This is by no means breakable or falling, but it can make it difficult to align the display, especially with large monitors/TVs. This means you'll likely spend quite a bit of time trying to properly orient the display for the position you want. You almost have to "preload" the bracket/bracket before tightening everything up, but it's all easy enough to set up and gives you enough wiggle room to get things right. Just be patient and you'll be fine. The only other issue I would like to mention is that the two arms (on either side of the joint) are of different lengths - meaning the arm is pushed all the way up against the joint. Walls, the display will be "off-center" (horizontally) in each direction by a few centimeters. This isn't necessarily a bug, just a consideration you may need to take into account when designing a product.
