I started using ferrules for almost all strands. I have used them successfully with Wage lever nut wire connectors and even with crimp contacts and receptacles with MC4 connectors. The advantage is that the wires are connected very tightly and each strand is securely fastened. After crimping, the stranded wire is completely closed and the resulting connection is not interrupted by a wire break. They work great for me. The kit contains a large selection of ferrules for different wire qualities and insulation thicknesses. Good product.
