Review on SANDUGO Mountain Comfort: Lightweight and Comfortable for Adventure by Ameer Kobblewood

Great mountain bike shoes before, during and after your ride!

First impressions: I'm very satisfied after only wearing these Sandugo MTB shoes for a few hours. This size 10 fits just a little larger which works for me. I wear Saucony trail runners and New Balance 10.5s, Northface hiking shoes and my latest Giro Junction MTB shoes. They're just a little narrower. I feel my feet are a bit flat and I like the wide toe box. The sock in these shoes fits me. I rarely need additional support for trail runners in the $50-$70 range. They have very poor arch support (like my Giros). My knees started hurting after just ten minutes of walking around the house. Too bad because they look pretty cool and I was excited to try the mid-top liner to keep dirt out. Then I added some spare insoles. I wore them to work for a few hours and overall they were very comfortable. They sound like muffled clogs when walking on flat, hard ground. Ground my Time ATAC spikes on concrete. After the first mountain bike tour: very good experience! More comfortable to walk, when loading gear, on the go and after a ride than my trusted Junctions. The My Time ATAC pedals/cleats work great with this shoe. Absolutely no problem. My cleats are not as long on the new shoes as they were on the Junctions, but that's not a problem. (I usually have them at the very back/bottom of the available cleat travel.) I had high hopes that the sock-like interior would be more akin to gaiters. Unfortunately I still have a protective shield in a shoe but the spring front range was a bit muddy. GREAT lacing experience! The quick laces are the same as the Solomon trainers/sneakers I've tried (Solomons are always too tight for me and hurt the arches, by the way). I think the top is serious and fabulous. It's great that they "buckle" at the bottom of the laces near your toes if that's what you want. I had to tie a double knot on each to take up the slack. The heel loops feel very secure. They are. Watch. Relax. Pretty comfortable (after adjusting arch support). They work fine. Pretty easy. For around $70, I'm glad I took the opportunity to purchase these mountain bike shoes. And everything comes with black.
