Review on AmazonBasics Wall Mounted Farmhouse Standard Walnut by Dick Grayson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It's fine if cost is an issue, but it will take longer to install.

I love this wall mount, but there are better ones. There are worse things. The price is fair, the wooden board is only 2 1/2 inches and everything you need for assembly is on the back. This rack is a bit more difficult to mount on studs, which takes more time. You need to find the pins and your measurements between inserting the screws need to be accurate as they need to line up with the pre-drilled holes on the back of the wooden board so they can slide in and down. Also, remember to use a spirit level before drilling holes in the studs. All of this makes installation more difficult than it needs to be if only two holes went through the entire panel, with appropriately sized screws for fixing to the wall. Then only caps to close as with other manufacturers. I also installed a 27" Amerock H55662-MORB Beveled Mahogany Hook Rack with bronze oiled rubber hooks which is more expensive but looks better, is better quality and is much easier to install.

Pros
  • The wooden base can be attached to any wall in the hallway, bedroom, toilet, bathroom, etc.
Cons
  • Makes me nervous.
