Based on the generally excellent reviews I bought these to replace a Sonicare brush that recently died. Love the idea of a USB powered toothbrush so I don't have to fiddle with an extra charger when I travel. First the pros: It's small and light. That's all. Cons: For me, the most important thing was that the brush head bristles have sharp ends (quality heads have rounded filaments that are more expensive to produce) which I find scratches gums and causes pain. Second, the vibration is rather weak compared to the Sonicare. Other downsides are rather minor: brush heads are mechanically different from Sonicare, so you'll need to buy replacement brush heads from that supplier. The many different "modes" of the toothbrush are pretty much the same and mostly useless. Switching on and off becomes much easier.
