All these stampings are connected by a thin metal rod. I used three different types of scissors and wire cutters to try and cut this connector. I could not do it! I had to take my husband with me. He took them to his carpentry shop and brought them back to me 20 minutes later. That's how long it took him to do this job. After cutting through each connecting rod, he had to file down the remaining sharp burr. If you don't file it, you could end up with a nasty scratch or cut from the remaining piece. THE TEST IS NOT WORTH IT.
