The pump had difficulty starting. The instructions were, well, a picture and a lot of guesswork. As far as how the pump works, it's not smooth sailing. I used silicone oil and it hangs in the middle when I move up. It got very hot after pumping, which is what I expected. (A word of warning if you're carrying and reaching for shotguns. It hurts.) I switched it to silicone high-temp grease. it hung less and cooled faster. The exhaust valve now comes out very easily and can be lost if you are not careful. The sensor works well, glows in the dark and doesn't match my air tanks. (IF THIS HAPPENS, DISCONNECT THE TANK SENSOR.) Finally, if you don't have a dehumidifier, get one, this pump will push out some condensate, especially after filling the HPA bottle and PCP cylinder. Hatsan makes a small built-in dryer that they also include with some weapons! That's all I've been able to install so far. Yes, and the meter only shows the downstroke you are holding. It's kind of a pain. It was my rather hectic experience with this pump, mostly my fault, but it's nice to know that the package actually included a pack of o-rings, springs and replacement rubber balls for the pump. Now what I didn't like was the collection of random fittings it contained. I should have looked for a female foster family, but I couldn't. For my Hatsan PCP rifle I need an adapter to fill the tank. No problem if I had a male 1/8 NPT mount with this kit. Instead, it came with an aluminum male receiver that didn't match anything, not even the adopter! So after installing the fill adapter into the pump, I started leaking. I went to disconnect the hose and started again with the intake manifolds. Then I cleaned the threads of the hose and the threads of the air dryer. I had to buy a set of 1/8 NPT dies. After all this anxiety I just bought a 1/8 NPT male inlet fitting and made the dryer fitting a separate fill port. So the good news is that you can only get dry air for the tank attached to the Hatsun inflation needle. I'm sure you could find a way to install a second inlet fitting on it, but I've already spent too much but will keep looking for a hose dryer for now.
