The color is exactly as shown and is just beautiful. The fabric is very soft, light and beautiful. It's very wide and covers my queen mattress better than any comforter I've ever had. I don't know how it will hold up in the wash as I haven't washed it yet. It's a bit warm to sleep in despite having the coolest alternative duvet in it. The disadvantages and reasons for 4 stars instead of 5 are that this unique fold fold design uses elastic threads to form beautiful rosebud folds, but the threads on the inside of the duvet are not cut and the rosebud folds feel too fragile, so use very carefully. The ceiling material is generally a bit flimsy and fragile. I wouldn't trust him to stay in a busy room with pets and kids - for my purposes in a one-person-one-cat house he's quite nice and functional on my bed and I cover him with a sheet at night. so my cat doesn't sleep directly on the blanket.
