This monopod is amazingly strong, light and stable (I use it with my APS-C Fuji X cameras). I topped it off with a small Benro ball head and QR plate so it's eye level when the three sections are deployed. I never lengthen the bottom, thinnest part, unlike the guy in the picture here at Revain. (In other words, I only open the top three leg locks, not the fourth.) When I first got it, the top section was a little tight and wouldn't move, but it loosened up with regular use. WD-40 is not required.
