Improvement rating (from 3 to 4 stars). Bought two sets and wanted to exchange one because one night some of the bulbs were different colors, now everything is back to normal so I decided to keep the replacement item - the seller sent it the next day (thanks for that). ADVANTAGES: Super bright LED lights. You can see the colors from the end of the block, the photos don't do it justice; comes with a remote control to select 16 different colors; each kit has a remote control, but you can use it to control all kits (just point the remote control at the little white box); and finally the rope is very long so it covers a large area. Outdoors: The ad states that the lights can be used outdoors. So far we haven't had bad weather in the Northeast so let's see if they survive the elements into the New Year. CONS: The light is very bright :), may disturb your neighbors. I also don't like that you can't connect them together. PS - I ended up buying a "spare" and used it to create a red, white, and blue theme. I cannot stress enough that the colors in the photo refer to the old iPhone and not the actual color you see. The colors are amazing.
