Great lens for the low price but needs a lot of light

I need more time to really get a feel for this lens but so far everything is great except f5-6.3. I thought it would be good for daytime wildlife photography, but it needs a lot of light. Expect a very high ISO in most conditions if you want a shutter speed fast enough to be handheld. Also, focusing is quick, it feels really solid and solid, and the controls are simple and solid. This is my first 400mm lens (use it on a Nikon D7500 APS-C which gives a focal length of 600mm) and I don't think I'll ever go back to 200mm! I even considered swapping it in for a Sigma 150-600mm as it's not much more expensive but despite being one of the lightest lenses in this zoom range my arm was still getting tired after half an hour of shooting so I decided to to stick to this and not 2 times heavier than 150-600 mm. This lens is beefy but compact enough to fit in a camera bag. My only complaint is the slow aperture, but you won't find a faster 400mm lens for less than 5x the price, so that's your trade-off. If price isn't an issue, or if you're a pro looking to use this regularly, you might consider spending the extra, but other than that it's the best you can get considering the price. A word of warning - I first tried this on my old Nikon D5000, which has horribly high ISOs, and it rendered this lens useless. If you have an older camera, or indeed a camera that doesn't handle ISO 1000+ well, you likely have the same problem. In broad daylight, any camera will do.
