I have been using Norelco razors for almost 50 years. I've always bought medium models. Not the worst and not the best. About a year ago I bought a Chinese plagiarism. I have always considered the contour of the razor hand to be one of its best features. I hesitated. Finally I pressed the button. Maybe it's time to try the best. After the razor arrived I found that the contoured handle had actually been improved. After an hour of charging I was attacking the three days of beard growth left over from the failure of the poor imitation I was using. In a second I realized that every razor I've ever had was crippled. I experienced the best shave I have ever had. Close, comfortable, convenient, you can effortlessly reach all corners and contours. Through trial and error, everything could be made to fit perfectly in a compact body. I knew it was the keeper but still $280? I then read the manual and found the roadblock, intensity setting, battery life indicator and all the monitoring and security features carefully provided. This is the best designed and engineered product I have purchased in a long time. I finally got it. I paid all that money for the best shaving experience available and 50 years of design and engineering expertise. When you look at it that way, you feel more valuable. I will continue to enjoy this product almost every day for a long time to come. I will forget the price after the next billing period. I've finally come to terms with my razor.
