Review on πŸ”΄ Renewed HYPERX Cloud II Gaming Headset for Multiconsole Use - Red by Dorota Lekka ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The product is of good quality, there is only one minor defect.

To begin, I feel the need to disclose that, much like a lot of other people, I happened to buy HyperX Cloud II with a clicky sound card. Support sent a replacement. The current version of the map is, in fact, noticeably less noisy than the older version; nevertheless, in this context, it is important to keep in mind that the older version was very loud. It's difficult for me to picture someone who would consistently use the volume at at least 60% of its capacity. As a result, I am unable to claim with certainty that the cards included in the latest revision suffer from issues related to an inadequate volume level. About the sound. The sound quality of the HyperX Cloud II is crisp and detailed, with a decent amount of bass. Every every detail is picked up and analyzed. This is what you need if you want to play games. In line with this, the music also has a high quality sound, but there is a catch: this headset is not for people who enjoy listening to music songs that have powerful and hammering basses because Cloud II does not include them. In overall, the impression is extremely favorable; nevertheless, at first, it was severely tarnished by a broken sound card, which was a major disappointment.

Pros
  • - Both in terms of design and the high quality of the materials. Clear sound with a high level of detail. - Robust metal headband. Outstanding positioning throughout the game. Excellent absorption of sound. - A volume control that is operated using push buttons located on the wire (it is also a sound card). In addition to that, there is a button that mutes the microphone, and there is also a mode that simulates many channels of sound. - Sound with a virtual 7.1 channel configuration for use in surround sound games and movies. - Detachable microphone that employs an effective noise reduction system.
Cons
  • - A significant possibility of encountering a set that has a flawed USB sound card (the marriage is manifested by clicking sounds when playing low frequencies). - a lack of sound-setting software that relies on proprietary technology. - The single 3.5 mm jack on the headset is connected to a wire that exits the device. If it is not connected to a native sound card, then the headset turns into ordinary headphones, since the microphone will not work in this case. You will need to purchase a splitter in order to take advantage of its performance on third-party cards.
