I wear a size 8 1/8 New Era baseball hat. The rim of the hat sits right on top of my ears. Kind of almost touches the top of my ears. This mesh hat in XXL size was supposed to fit my hat size, but didn't. The rim did not go down to the top of my ears. Maybe a quarter inch from each ear. So the hat felt like is was going to pop off. My head is huge and I have a short number 3 haircut. Liked the look of the hat though especially with the preformed bill. Just wish it was in XXXL or bigger size.
