Not what I remember.

I grew up with Slinky. I suspect it was one of the "originals" but this "original" doesn't feel or look the same. It's very heavy and coated in an oily substance (probably to prevent rusting), but it's still uncomfortable and requires an immediate handwash to avoid staining clothes with the oily substance. I recommend finding another. (The one I grew up with was silver and lighter). This one is black and very heavy.
