In general, what I expected. Hard plastic with storage in the handle. (I like it because you can keep valuables safe and it takes a few seconds to control buoyancy by tipping and adding some water while snorkeling or snorkeling). The grip is surprisingly soft, which I like. I gave it 4 stars because it's plastic and the stitching on the handle is in a weird place you can feel when holding it. This is a manufacturer error and will likely vary from person to person. Overall I am very satisfied and find it better than competing brands
