I have a 2000 Toyota Land Cruiser 4.7L V8 and this was the first upgrade I did when I bought it in August 2012 with 79,000 miles on it. The power boost is clearly noticeable, as is the amazing sound of the V8 when I stomp it! With careful driving it is almost as quiet as the original. On long rides (300+ miles) I got 1+ mpg, resulting in 25 or so miles per tank, even driving through hills and mountains. I haven't seen any. real mpg gain in city and normal driving, but there's also a noticeable performance gain without losing mpg; I find that positive! I would recommend the K&N FIPK to anyone looking for a real increase in HP and performance including positive MPGs. You will love it! Oh yeah. It's pretty easy to install with clear instructions!
