My Story Bought the TG-6 to add a UV filter to my camera. I also have a CPL filter on the camera. The Olympus CLA-T01 is a 40.5mm lens mount converter. Be careful which thread you buy. Why did Olympus develop a camera where the lens is not protected? I don't know, but I want my lens to be protected. PRO: It fits TG-6. It snaps into place easily. Easy to remove - press and twist silver button. Lens cap included. Can be used underwater. CONS: Initially it wasn't included in the camera package - the problem isn't with the converters, it's with the manufacturers. Conclusion: Ultimately, this is not necessary or required for your camera. However, if you bought one and don't use additional filters, you can use it for the lens cap. When you are at the beach, sand or water will get between the transducer and the filters because the filters are not waterproof.
