Got this because I needed to connect two 50ft CAT 6 cables for a silly high bandwidth application. my fault) that using this connection provides higher throughput than I could get with the cable/port configuration. First off, I knew I was expecting a loss, I just didn't know exactly what it would be until I tried it. The loss occurs every time you have a layoff. I bet over 99% of people won't even notice it. However, if you need high bandwidth with the port, get the IO Gear wireless adapter and plug it into your router instead. Surprisingly, it's faster. Aside from it not working on my wrong application, I have no complaints. It really effectively connects two cables together, very simple, connects properly, looks good, works well and is inexpensive to download. It will be great for almost everyone. Mine goes in the gear stack, which I keep ready when I need it and I'm sure it will come in handy later. A very good thing to have on hand and I wouldn't hesitate to keep it in any normal place.
