I bought this bag because I wanted to take certain gear with me to a photoshoot. First of all I want to say that this bag has a very large main compartment where you can put a lot of things. I tried and packed it with clothes, I could pack clothes for four days and still zip it up. Second, the large front pocket is very roomy and easy to load and unload. Third, the side pockets are wide enough for a water bottle but not high enough to securely hold the bottle while walking. The side pockets are good for small items that you don't use often but want to have with you at all times. Fourth, the description says it's water resistant, which is true. However, I wanted the fabric to be water repellent, so I rubbed the outside with SnoSeal and heated it to lock it into the weave of the fabric. This darkened the color which I like, but now my bag is waterproof. Finally, I paired this bag with the padded Ciesta Flexible Cushion Partition-XL Lens DSRL SLR Camera Insert Bag [which fits perfectly] and I have more than enough space to take care of the essential camera gear I need for a photo shoot overall I am very impressed with this bag, I might buy another one just to have a grab bag or something. I can only recommend it as a great camera bag.
