They offer amazing heel and cushion support and the integrated cushion area is invisible until you put them on. They are thick but flexible enough to slip over athletic pads. My 12 year old loves them very much and they are true to size. He said the soles of his feet didn't hurt at all in them. My only complaint is that while they are flexible, they are a bit too small at the top of the calf. This keeps them from rolling down, but they are too tight. There was simply no room for maneuver. Overall they are of excellent quality and very comfortable. If they were a little more forgiving to those with muscular calves they would easily get 5 stars.
