I bought 2 sets of these candles to put in silver lanterns for my 25th wedding anniversary party. I knew I only had a short amount of time to set up my decorations, so I gathered all the lanterns with candles, leaves, etc. in them. Just before dinner started, all I had to do was walk up to them with the remote and turn them all on. There are settings when they just burn, there are settings when they flicker like a burning candle. You can increase or decrease the brightness. I didn't use the timer setting, but that's an option too. They looked beautiful and the different sizes allowed me to vary the height I assembled in each lantern. My daughter wants to steal a home decor kit. You won't be disappointed with these candles, I'm so glad I bought them.
