Turns on automatically after a power outage

I like the concept of this switch but it takes some time to get the right sensitivity. We've had it for over a year now and it works well. There are still cases where it should turn on automatically but won't turn on and vice versa. My biggest complaint about this switch is that in the event of a power outage, the switch will automatically start the fan when power is restored and stay on until the switch is manually turned off. We only became aware of this problem when we came back from a long…

The main thing is that they work reliably!

I bought one for each of my three bathrooms. The one in the medium-sized bathtub works fine after some tweaking (I had to increase the run time from 10 minutes). The moisture control seems to work. In my small downstairs bathroom, everything is properly plugged in and connected, but it doesn't turn on automatically. Not on any settings. Even after moisture drips from the walls. For me, it sounds like. Must be defective, try another one. There is no deal. Maybe two are broken? No, I changed one…

Good for Bathrooms: Wall Controls

My house had manual switches for exhaust fans. My family isn't very good at turning them on while showering. As a result, bathrooms have a lot of moisture, which is great for mold growth, paint damage, etc. I'm not an electrician but I have experience replacing light switches. They're pretty easy to install. Turn off the circuit breaker to avoid electric shock. Delete the old one, install this one. Turn on the power. You are basically done. Switches have settings - they're not necessarily very…

Basically good. Bit finicky to get a dail-in.

Works in most cases. It took me a while to get the settings right. There were a couple of nights when he was overly sensitive and would show up randomly. This works well with my habit of turning on the shower with the door open so hot water flows through the pipes and goes to the toilet. As the hot water begins to mist up in my glass shower stall, the fan kicks on. The switch is about 4 feet from the shower. House of new construction. I like the timer and humidity settings. I basically set it…

Great for my application

Great for my application. After reading some of the reviews I was a bit nervous that it wouldn't work. I tested this by running a hot shower and the fan kicked on after about 3-4 minutes. Installation was easy, if you can change the switch or socket, it's the same. If you can't; Look, it's really easy to make and it will save you some money! (Make sure you flip the switch!) One thing that I noticed oddly is that the light (just above the fan icon on the switch) glows green when the fan is off…

Terrible technical design

I am very disappointed that Leviton will be releasing this design for the consumer market. It uses an electronic switch (FET or other electronic device) to power a load with a very poor and cheap design. With the switch in the off position, my fan (load) is still getting power, very little, but it's getting less power. I can hear that from the constant hum of the fan when the switch is in the off position. The fan is even lukewarm when the switch is in the off position. Just think of the water…

Great value for ceiling fans and accessories

I was researching available humidity switches and settled on the Leviton based on performance and price. I am satisfied with my purchase.1. Great timer that can be set to 10 min, 20 min, 30 min and 45 min. The fan will run for the set time and turn off, or you can turn it off manually at any time.2. The humidity setpoint can be set to Off. or any range from 20 to 80% humidity, as well as the "Air Cycle" mode. When set to Off, it ignores the humidity setpoint and starts when excessive humidity…
