Review on Seachem Tidal Filter Replacement Foam by Mac Owen

FINALLY a clean tank!

A friend gave me a 15 gallon plastic vertical hex tank. I've had aquariums most of my life. I have NEVER had a problem keeping this tank clean and tidy. I was already beginning to think that it was impossible, that maybe the plastic itself was incomprehensible. And the water was green. The only time it wasn't really green was the day I changed the water. I went through several filters and nothing could give me a clean tank. I was about to give up but decided to try Seachem Tidal 35 again. OMG. In less than a day I felt like I was looking through glass at a clean aquarium. It was an amazing transformation. One of the things that bothered me was that it's a deep reservoir and the inlet tube is much shorter than any other filter I've tried. I didn't have to worry. It's also appreciated that this filter is a surface skimmer, so none of it looks like an oil-like substance is floating on the surface. I am SO in love with this filter. I wish I could justify buying one of these for all my aquariums, but I can't. But I can't wait for the current filters to die on them so I can install them on Tidal's filters too! If you're having trouble filtering, don't even hesitate. This will solve them for you.

Pros
  • acts as mechanical filtration
Cons
  • crumpled
