It works very well - the best buy for cats!

We have 2 cats, brothers exactly 1 year and 2 years old, both weigh 8 pounds, both long haired Balinese. The bag fits perfectly. Now use for half a dozen baths per cat. These cats don't want to get wet and definitely don't want to bathe. But they contracted ringworm before we adopted them and part of their treatment involves 2 baths a week. I searched the internet for solutions and found these bags. Then I looked at many similar products on the internet and read all the reviews of each one to finally choose this product and I am very happy with it. Most other brands had zip ties instead of a forefoot lacing and we were concerned that the zip would break or cat hair would get caught in the zip and cause unnecessary problems. We keep the drawstrings for the front legs closed and tied - the front legs do not have to be taken out of the bathing bag, as they can easily be washed in the bag. The bag is durable and still fully intact after a dozen uses. First attach the string for the front paws, then fold the bag like a t-shirt and place it over the cat's head, fasten the strings around the neck so that one string is under the chin and the other at the base of the neck , then roll it up to cover everything and here is the tail, tie the drawstring at the bottom so the tail sticks straight out at the back. Of course, at first, cats will fight until they realize their inevitable futility. Of course, sometimes the claws can stick out of the holes in the straps, but this can be treated. Calm your cat down with soothing conversations. Offer to take a shower so that the cat does not immerse itself in a water bath and panic less. We're trying both approaches for the first time, and the shower is a lot less traumatic than the bath, for both the cat and the owner. Before you begin, start the water and adjust the temperature so that the cat gets used to the sound and isn't worried about the temperature or waiting to set it. Suggest tying a loose knot behind the snap on the string to secure it, otherwise the cat may escape through the hole. Our first use on a younger cat resulted in him poking his neck with his front paws while bathing, but never again as we started with knots in the shoelaces. Before you begin, make sure the shoelaces aren't too loose or you won't strangle your cat. If you don't panic and calm the cat down, it will eventually give up once it realizes that fighting is pointless and that staying still is not dangerous. You can lather straight through the pouch and flush the lather straight through the pouch in the shower. A hand shower is useful for this, but not necessary - we made it in both cases. The cat will lie down and wait for you to finish, and when the water is off it will sit quietly while you untie the knots on the shoelaces. The hardest part is untying the knots once they're tight. We take a lockpick in the shower to facilitate this process. Untie all the knots on the top two laces and the bottom one on the tail, leaving the knot on the front legs intact, then remove the bag in the reverse order of tightening. The middle tip does not need to be tied. The pouch makes the process easier and the second time is a lot easier and easier every time after that because you know what works and the cat knows the process isn't fatal. Immediately place the cat on a large towel to dry it, starting at the head so the ears are comfortable. He will really enjoy the head, back and finally stomach massage. After the towel gets wet we bring a dry spare towel to dry and warm up, then introduce a hairdryer and comb to keep the hair tangle-free. The cat sack serves as a straitjacket and it is important that it is the right size. If your cat is over 11 pounds I would suggest you search the internet for a large bag that I know is available. You want the hind legs locked in a pouch, otherwise the cat's defense mechanism will use those hind legs to claw you to death. I'm glad I didn't go for the same price 2 or 3 bag option or the half price one bag from other manufacturers because I can imagine the less durable construction, stitching or material going into one could lead to disaster. The bag is made of high quality material, design and construction and packed in a padded envelope ensuring it arrives safe and sound. Fast delivery. If you need to bathe your cat, this bag is a must! Critics either have a cat that is too big for the bag used, or does not calm the cat down, or does not prepare properly, or does not secure the shoelaces with a spare knot, or does not have the patience or has never tried bathing a cat in any other way and can't imagine how impossible it is, the process can be done bagless. The bag won't do all the work for you, but it will make the process a lot easier. We are no longer afraid of the opportunity to bathe a cat, just like cats. The younger one is still more scared than his brother, but with the bag, we plan to continue bathing regularly - less frequently - after the medicated shampoo used to treat tinea is no longer needed. Good luck, but don't be afraid to try this bag. Double discount!
