The quality is at the level, I am satisfied with everything.

I use Nikon for video shooting, so in the review I only touch on video parameters.
For photos, I use the canon 50D, and for short walks and shooting video, the Nikon J1 definitely wins.

There are many accessories for the camera and, most importantly, lenses. Forcommpact cameras, especially those with a 2.7 sensor, old rangefinder lenses from 8 and 16mm cameras are great. They are sold in abundance at online auctions around the world and it will not be difficult to buy acomuple. Moreover, their price is small, and the quality iscomnfirmed by their manual assembly. Naturally, there are a huge number of adapters for the Nikon 1 mount.
In general, I am satisfied with the camera, I think its resource is longer than the manufacturers say. The main thing is to choose the right accessories and lenses, and then the picture quality will be at its best.

Pros

This camera is the perfect companion on the road, excellent shooting speed, excellent video quality (I'm attaching a link just below). Everything you need from a compact camera and more. But do not think that it will replace a normal SLR. The camera is just perfect for shooting video, excellent quality even with a kit lens. Full 30 frames at 1080p. Compared with Sony Nex5 and I can say with confidence that Nikon is ahead of Sony in video quality.

Cons

Terrible management of shooting parameters, which is almost all hidden in the main menu. This is very difficult if you need to focus and quickly take a series of shots. Ergonomics is at zero, but this is solved by purchasing accessories, such as an overlaid leather layer on the case (they are presented in abundance on online auctions). Low battery (I solved this by purchasing two additional ones) Matrix 2.7 is not considered a disadvantage (see below)
