Non-toxic hair dyes with benefits.

I rarely write reviews, but I want to show off this non-toxic hair dye. I've been looking for something non-toxic to dye my hair for a very long time. Here's my experience: I have fine and slightly curly (curly) hair that's now a natural salt and pepper color (more salt than pepper) and my husband has soft but not-so-fine hair that's totally salty now. My husband was very skeptical, but being a cancer survivor, he pushed me to find an alternative to the harsh dye chemicals we used in the past. I used myself as a "guinea pig" and styled my hair first. For reference, I haven't colored my hair in almost a year and haven't used conditioner when washing my hair for the same period of time. There was no chemical buildup on my hair. I bought the following 3 products from Revain and used the following recipe: - 50g Hannah Natural 100% Pure Henna Powder, 100g (Red/Copper) - 50g Hannah Natural 100% Pure Indigo Hair Color Powder, 100g (Black colour) - 2 tablespoons Hesh Herbal Amla / Indian gooseberry powder for dark and healthy hair, natural - 100g Hesg (conditioning powder) - pinch of regular table salt (helps release colour) I mixed these dry ingredients, making sure there were no clumps . Then I mixed: - 1 tbsp olive oil (is much easier to work with and saturates the hair better) - 1 tbsp lemon juice (also helps release the colors) - A few drops of aromatic essential oil for skin (optional - reduces the strong tea smell , because I don't like tea and its smell) - Hot water - about 1.5 cups, enough to make a cake batter consistency mixture. I used a whisk. from my kitchen to ensure the mixture is well blended and free of lumps. Cools enough not to burn the scalp. When everything was cool, I soaked it all over my head — oversaturated, in fact — and applied it to each strand of hair, making sure each strand had equal coverage. drip catcher. I then took kitchen foil and wrapped it all over my head, grasping the top edge of the paper towel roll to keep dripping to a minimum. Then I set the timer to 1.5 hours. look how it turned out. I absolutely loved it! My natural color is dark brown and this new color was a little more like a dark coppery brown and came out beautifully. My color looks very natural and suits my skin tone. My first color lasted 2 months and then I started seeing white spots. So I did it again. I've attached a photo showing my crown about 2 weeks after my second color. Now my husband had a different story. He's much more conscious of his "salty" hair. He insisted that the store-bought dyes continue to work until he saw my henna come out. He's also a big fan of hair conditioners. As a result, his hair was heavily contaminated with chemicals. For my husband's first color, I used the same recipe I used for my own hair. Unfortunately, this turned his hair orange-red. It wasn't an ugly color by any means, just not very natural with his skin tone. After some trial and error (we did about 3 colors in one weekend we found the perfect color combination for him). Its natural color is ash brown. To get closer to his natural color, which matches his skin tone, I applied the following recipe to his hair and it turned dark brown with a hint of copper in the right light. looks very cool and natural. makes it very nice. Here is the final recipe that worked well for my husband: 25g Hannah Natural 100% Pure Henna Powder (Red/Copper Color) 75g Hannah Natural 100% Pure Indigo Hair Color Powder (Black Color) 2 Tbsp Hesh Herbal Amla Powder / Indian Gooseberry for Dark and Healthy Hair, Natural (Conditioning Powder) A pinch of regular table salt (helps release color) I mixed these dry ingredients together making sure there were no clumps. Then I mixed: 2 tbsp olive oil (makes the job easier and saturates the hair much better) 2 tbsp lemon juice (also helps release color) I didn't use scented essential oil because my husband loves tea and scented tea. Hot water - about 1 3/4 cups, enough to make a cake batter consistency mixture. I used a whisk from my kitchen to make sure it was mixed properly with no lumps. Again I left it on until it was cool enough to apply to my scalp. His scalp was much more sensitive than mine, meaning the mixture was slightly warm. Then I supersaturated his entire head and applied it to each strand of hair, making sure nothing was left out. I then wrapped a paper towel around his neck and his entire head in plastic wrap and set the timer for 3 hours (twice as long). the time I needed). After 3 hours his hair was amazing. So please don't discredit these non-toxic products if your first try doesn't turn out the way you hoped. Sometimes you have to make a few attempts until you are satisfied with the result. Additional benefits we noticed from using these products: - Hair fall was significantly reduced. We used to have a huge hairball on the drain in the shower after every hair wash. Now that number has been reduced to a few hairs after each shampoo. Another change is that we no longer use conditioner after shampooing. Our hair is soft and fluffy and easy to manage. A little hairspray will keep it in place all day. The color also seems to last much longer than the store-bought colors we've used before. I used to dye my husband and had to find time every two weeks to dye his hair. Now I dye it once a month or so. The price of each coloring page has also dropped significantly, giving me more money to buy.
