Isn't it great to get clean, soft and fresh smelling clothes out of the dryer? Get this detergent and it works even in hard water. I actively met with representatives of the detergent community. Was monogamous with Charlie for a few years until I started wearing hard clothes (maybe my fault for not getting a hard water supplement sooner - Charlie was amazing for a few years). I was also exclusively with an Italian for a few years - Spuma D - and it was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooolding an Italian for a few years and it worked great though you would have to appreciate the flavor which I did or maybe didn't. But it was becoming increasingly difficult to find Spuma without taking a U-Haul to a major shipping hub on the coast and/or paying shipping costs. with water softening additives and realized I could travel to Italy for Spuma for what I would pay to have certain chemicals delivered to my house (and why is citric acid so expensive?!). In any case, I don't like the smell of Tide, no matter how un-American it is, which is what I do, and when I got my hands on a good Samsung front-loader, I found that all the liquids didn't flush, and it wasn't just a top -Loading machine, it was all independent of the machine, never left the fabric. I also did some phosphate quick dates with Ariel (can we agree that the entire phosphate-d-laundry nation is a drop in the bucket compared to industrial and agricultural phosphate drains? I want clean streams, but if we all use more resources trying to get clothes, dishes and homes clean just because laundry detergent has lost its main active ingredient while other industries are emitting even more phosphates, what have we achieved?). Mexican Ariel just covered my car and was driving everything crazy. I'm not sure if it had enough phosphates or the right species, and my Spanish for chemicals is pretty bad. But Miele is the real deal. I promise you that. You don't have to use a lot - it lasts a long time. I smoked up until about a year ago and Miele was great at getting the smoke smell out when I smoked and now that I haven't smoked for a while I have clothes that don't smell like smoke. I wouldn't even mention it, but the last time I quit smoking it took me ages to get the smoke smell out of my clothes (then used Surf, many years ago). The American Persil created an inexplicable vomit smell in my clothes so I took an expensive break from using it after accumulating a few bottles and using it successfully for a while. I still don't have a good reason why this smell was occurring, but it was there and wasn't interesting to spot or try to treat. obviously a water softener, which wasn't practical for me). I did a lot of research on detergents and hard water and found credible scientific research pointing to specific ingredients and user experiences that helped me choose Miele. We have been happily together for several years. I don't use fabric softener because it will damage your fabrics but more importantly you don't need it at Miele because it washes out completely in my front loader leaving your clothes naturally soft. When I need scent, I add a Caldera towel instead (which also covers your fabrics, as anyone who's never dried with a cloth-soft towel will tell you). Also, I live in the desert and sweat. like a gangster in a church, so it's important that my detergent gets rid of all the bad odors, and Miela succeeds every time. My washing machine likes a smaller load (like the size of two standard pillows stacked on top of each other), and I use 1/2 scoop of detergent, or if I've been gardening in July, 3/4 scoop. actually forgotten a washed load for up to five days and came back to find it in order; not so much in summer. For your information - if you use another detergent, do a few empty loads with the descaling agent/salts to clean the machine of old detergent residue. You might still want to do this (I do this about every two weeks), but unless you switch your detergents and don't scrape the hidden suds off your machine, you'll likely be disappointed. Use super hot water for this, and if you have a top loader and have never cleaned it, be prepared to be horrified/fascinated/horrified. I am happy to recommend Miele dishwashing liquid. I bought a Miele dishwasher and had good results with Cascade, but absolutely BRILLIANT results with Miele tablets, salt and rinse aid (ie no rinsing on the plate that had eggs on it 4 days ago and which was never washed). And yes, the Miele flush performed better than the Jet Dry, although I don't know why, but it did deserve a premium in price. In any case, live by this Miele formula and may she never, ever change it!
