Let me say in the foreword that the product itself is great. There are many lighting modes you can set and the lights are beautiful. So why the low rating? Well now that Christmas was over and as I was folding up the lanterns to put them away I noticed that one of the lanterns wasn't properly insulated. As you can see in the photo the insulation was placed too high and actually covered most of the bulb leaving the wires exposed. I was totally shocked when I noticed that. It could easily start a fire, electrocute someone, or worse. Quality control is poor and the item I received should not pass inspection. I do not recommend this product due to poor quality control. I'm just thankful that nothing bad happened. If you are planning to buy this product or have already bought it, I recommend testing each lightbulb to make sure it is well insulated and has no exposed wires before plugging it in.
