Review on Braun Series 5 52S Electric 🪒 Shaver Replacement Head Cassette – Enhanced Silver by Mac Owen

I bought this replacement cartridge from Braun for my husband in July 2020 and he used it a few days later. This worked fine until 2 days ago. When he got a razor burn, he took out a magnifying glass and examined it. Notice the part of the shield that is missing in the picture. He followed all Braun care instructions and only used Braun cleaning solution. The cassette was washed under water after each use and periodically cleaned in Braun detergent. After rinsing or cleaning, each day he would let the cassette dry on the countertop until the next day, lest it be stored with anything else that might damage the screen. The quarantine didn't go anywhere. But for some reason the elliptical section failed. This was the second cartridge he installed in the shaver, so the shaver itself was most likely not the cause of the problem. For those of you counting, the cartridge lasted almost 8 months, which is 10 months short of the recommended 18-month replacement period. Braun does not guarantee the cartridge, ostensibly because it is very fragile, but it itself can have a high failure rate. Since my husband is stuck with a razor I think he has to keep buying cartridges until the razor fails or until he finds a good price on a competitor's razor. He's hoping for a good deal because he says it will be his last Braun razor.
