Round filter doesn't rotate as easily as a Dyson filter. I had to put in significant effort to complete the curve to install it. During the first cleaning afterwards, a whistle sounded. I checked the filter and it loosened a bit so I tightened it again. This triggered the whistling noise. My vacuum still sounds different with this filter, but that could also be because my old filter is terribly dirty and I'm used to the noise a vacuum makes with a dirty filter. I haven't tried the tube filter yet.
