I broke my "thermo hair dryer" and finally upgraded to this from a basic hair dryer stolen from my wife and I am very glad I did have done. As with all DeWalt tools, you pay more and you can buy cheaper, but I'm definitely glad I didn't. From an operational point of view, this is relatively easy; Does the hot air blower generate hot air and blow it out at the front right? Best of all, selecting the heat level is quick and easy, with a nice display on the instrument and easy up and down buttons to get the temperature you want. What made it different for me are the extra attachments, which might not seem like much until you need to use them, and then they're a great addition. I used the jets to get into a number of tight spots with thin airflow, which was not possible without additional parts. So buying this kit with them is a huge plus over a regular heat gun.
